LOOK ATAuthor, subject and observer of oneself. I'm the producer or the image, that's me, that's what I see of me myself. What I do and how I do it, how I move and where I move, the limits I put myself. These are important elements defining my identity. This identity, which I chose as a personal signature to recognize me, I want to be... Look At. Assimilation. Everybody wants Mike to be in one way or the other, or they hope, he is that way. Rules, I have to obey. A society I have to satisfy. To try to live ... RASTERThe desire to recognize myself, to observe my behaviour, to see as a spectator, how I move. What are my limits. To show to myself, without fear, how I am and how people see me. The self-portrait is a way of recognizing yourself. This visualisation of how you see yourself, from another perspective, that's sort of a coding of your identity, like a fingerprint, your style, your register. I know, that I can recognize myself and see sides I may have ignored beforehand. MASSLOSWhen I use the words „without limits“, I use it most of the time in combination with the human beeing. I ask myself, in which way people treat the world and its resources. I was looking for this in myself and the others. What do we do every day what defines these words? The most perfect example seems to be consumption. People are consuming without limits! This leads to speak of a society of consumption. I asked myself who controls consumption. Do we control it or does the consumption control us? Or how far are we able to control consumption? SELFIE FAST AND FURIOUSThis project started one morning on my way to the school. I observed how people comported themselves in the streets. Everybody going fast and faster, furious without watching to the sides, only advancing and surviving in the streets. Survival of the fittest, of the fastest and oft the most furious. That was what I thought, but the lens saw only irrationality and slow motion. That s what I wanted to represent in these three photographs. INTERFACEThe skin. Passion, dedication, time. From the moment of our birth we are exposed to the world. We surround ourselves with life, colours, air. Everything is new and adheres to our body in a close relationship. We are living without realizing how quickly all elements around us interact with us and influence our actions and attitudes. We almost close our eyes looking in the sun and seek shade in order to see better. We take shelter in cold weather and dress warm. We know what the skin needs, we know when it needs more and when it is enough.
